Introduction

We regard customer privacy as an important part of our relationship with our customers. The following privacy policy applies to all users, and conforms to Internet privacy standards.

All correspondence may also be collected and stored, particularly in regard to sales, support and accounts, including Email.

Any information collected by us is collected via correspondence from you or your company. This may be via the telephone, email, mail, fax or directly through our website.

Any details collected from customers is required in order to provide you with our products and/or services, and a high level of customer service.

Correspondence is recorded in order to provide service references, and to assist in our staff development.

Storage of Collected Information

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.

Orders

If you purchase a product or service from us, we may request certain personally identifiable information from you. You may be required to provide contact information (such as name, Email, and postal address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date).

We use this information for billing purposes. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.

Communications

We use personally identifiable information for essential communications, such as emails, accounts information, and critical service details. We may also use this information for other purposes, including some promotional emails. If at any time a customer wishes not to receive such correspondence, they can request to be removed from any mailing lists by contacting us.

You will be notified when your personal information is collected by any third party that is not our agent/service provider, so you can make an informed choice as to whether or not to share your information with that party.

We do not share any information with third parties for any unknown or unrelated uses.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a notice on our home page.

Refund Policy

Kullaru Pty Ltd will apply the following percentage of refund to all training cancellations:Full training course fees are required on enrolment in order to secure a seat on the nominated course. (Up to $1000)

All cancellations must be received in writing.

No penalty will be requested if the cancellation has been received prior to 8 days before the commencement of the nominated course.

A penalty of 50% of the full fee if cancellation has been received more than 3 days and less than 7 days before the commencement of the nominated course.

No refunds will be issued if cancellation has been received less than 48 hours before the commencement of the nominated course.

Training Environment

Kullaru Pty Ltd will comply with all laws relevant to the operation of the training / workplace premises including occupational health and safety and fire safety regulations and ensure that the training / workplace premises are of adequate size and have adequate heating, cooling, lighting and ventilation.

For onsite training, it will be the responsibility of the client to ensure the venue complies with the same requirements.

Access and Equity

Kullaru Pty Ltd will implement fair educational programs, maximise the participation of students and will provide a culturally inclusive environment. It will assist students to access support and guidance services that cannot be offered internally.

Kullaru Pty Ltd recognises its legal responsibility to take all reasonable steps to ensure that staff and students are not subject to sexual harassment. Kullaru Pty Ltd is firmly committed to providing a working, teaching and learning environment that is free from racism. Racism not only denies a person’s fundamental human right to respect, it reduces their opportunity to gain a fair share of society’s valued resources such as education and employment.

It is the responsibility of all Kullaru Pty Ltd staff to ensure the requirements of the access and equity policy are met at all times.

Student Support Services

Students requiring assistance with their training should contact their trainer in the first instance. We are committed to meeting the needs of all students. If support cannot be provided internally, appropriate external referrals will be suggested.

Language Literacy and Numeracy

Our course standard material contains written documentation and limited numerical calculations. We recognise that not all people are able to read, write and perform calculations to the same standards. We will endeavour to help you where we can to accommodate anyone with difficulties with language, literacy or numeracy.

Relevant Legislation

We are subject to a variety of legislation related to training and assessment as well as general business practice. This legislation governs our obligations as a Training Organisation, our obligations to you as our clients, and relates to the industry that we are conducting training for.This legislation is continually being updated and all staff are made aware of any changes. Current legislation is available online at www.austlii.edu.au and www.legislation.act.gov.au

The legislation that particularly effects your participation in Vocational Education and Training includes:

Records Policy

We are committed to maintaining and safeguarding the accuracy, integrity and currency of our records without jeopardising the confidentiality of the records or our student’s privacy. Individual Student records will be stored in a locked secure office area.
RTO's -  Our electronic records are stored in our RTO Management System and are protected by password access. Our software and hardcopy systems will retain Student results for a period of not less than 30 years.

In the event that we cease to operate as an RTO we will transfer all records to ASQA in appropriate format and detail as specified by the regulatory body at the time of ceasing RTO operations.

We are required to submit statistical data (AVETMISS) on our students in the future using the features inside our RTO Management System software program.

Privacy

We take the privacy of our clients and students very seriously and we will comply with all legislative requirements. Your enrolment form provides for students to give permission for us to discuss the students’ progress with their employer

In some cases we will be required by law or required by the AQTF 2007 standards to make student information available to others. In all other cases we ensure that we will seek the written permission of the student.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the presentation, without any form of acknowledgment, the ideas or words of another writer as if they were your own. This is more than just another form of cheating. It is literary theft. It is stealing someone else's work. As a student you will be expected to pay scrupulous attention to acknowledging where your ideas for your work came from.
